The unique FLEXQ module allows you to automatically analyse up to three blood gas samples in succession. With the ABL800 FLEX analyser’s Drop 'n' Go capability, there's no need to wait at the analyser for patient results.

The ABL800 FLEX blood gas analyser allows you to measure a full panel of up to 18 STAT parameters on the same blood sample. This supports fast diagnosis of critically ill patients and reduces the risks and patient discomfort associated with repeated sampling.

Reliable creatinine testing

Radiometer’s advanced creatinine sensor design based on enzymatic amperometric biosensors provides you with accurate and reliable results and is proven to be free of interference from 62 potentially interfering substances [1].

Optimised for capillary tubes

With the FLEXMODE functionality, the ABL800 FLEX blood gas analyser is also optimised for capillary tubes, allowing you to reliably get the most critical parameters from a small neonate sample.

Depending on the available sample volume, the FLEXMODE functionality provides the highest number of parameters.

Safer pH in pleural fluid measurements

pH meters or indicator sticks can overestimate pleural fluid pH in patients with pleural effusions, leading to misdiagnosis and potential under-treatment of the condition [3].

The ABL800 FLEX analyser offers a safer alternative, following ACCP [4] recommendations "pH is the preferred pleural fluid chemistry test and pH must be determined using a blood gas analyser". A dedicated mode for measuring pH in pleural fluid on the ABL800 FLEX analyser provides accurate measurements, while reducing the risk of mistaking a pleura value for a blood value.
